What started with a horse and cart 100 years ago has grown into a broad service provider in ground and demolition work, transport and waste containers. After a century of presence, it is impossible to imagine the Dune and Flowerbulb Region without Gebr. van der Putten.
Welcome to our family business.
Our company was started by brothers Hein and Cees van der Putten. A century later, their names are still proudly displayed on our facade. Their spirit and entrepreneurial drive has been preserved all this time. Today the two brothers from the third generation, Hein and Wim are at the helm of Gebroeders van der Putten. Together with the fourth generation Jan and Hein Jr. and a close-knit team, they strive for better every day.
Our industry and products are fascinating. Hardly a day goes by without new opportunities presenting themselves to convert waste and debris into new reusable raw materials and materials. We see this reflected in our results.
Every year, we process about 2.7 million pounds of waste, of which now 91% is recycled into countless products you encounter every day. Processing debris and waste is rewarding work.
The region is worth it
The Dune & Bulb Region is a special area - the Central Park of the metropolitan region of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague. We live on free land between the big cities. A special place that we like to help protect.
How it all began...
Transport in and around Noordwijk runs like a thread through the family life of the Van der Puttens for exactly a century in 2021. However, before the official establishment, through registration at the Chamber of Commerce on November 1, 1921, Hubertus van der Putten was already earning his daily bread in the transport sector. Hubertus may thus call himself the unofficial founder of a company in which meanwhile the fourth generation of his descendants still works with heart and soul every day.
